Reemerging Southern Cal native glass artist Chris Strode has traded in her glass cutter for a palette knife. Rediscovered Redefined Art is what Chris's Business Card reads these days. Having run her own glass business in Hawaii for fifteen years, Chris, upon returning to So Cal went "dark" with regards to pursuing her commercial art adventures until... a rekindling desire along with freed up time lured Chris back to becoming a working artist once again.

Chris explains that the new medium in which she is working lends to creating heavy texture. And along with the layering of bright and vibrant colors which are sealed with a protective coating, she is able engage the viewer not only a visual experience but also a tactile one. Yes, you can touch the art!

Chris also has taught/ teaches art classes to children, young adults, and mentally challenged individuals both in school and private venues.

Over my decades in the studio more than 250,000 ‘little signed Ryan originals’ have dispelled many a ‘Photo Assumption’.  I have long believed “The difference between Art and Craft is Invention”. As in “Amaze me with something beautiful that I have not seen before.” The last day of Art School, I gave my paints away. That same day I began my lifelong quest of re-interpreting and blending all of the known Arts & Crafts forms and including the discoveries in my three dimensional creations. I soon realized I was accumulating a “multi-media fluidity” and this was the secret key that allows my original spirit to soar.
The latest ‘happening’ is this New Art Form that my own Gallery patrons have dubbed “Ryan’s Mouthwatering Jewelry”. Cumulative ‘little lessons learned’ from working a volume of ‘little originals’ continues to accumulate into Big Impact. And, this is exactly what jewelry is supposed to do. Girls love to receive the frequent notice my works unfailingly deliver. So you see, it is only my price points that are little.

Growing up on a grain farm and the wide-open prairies of North Dakota gave Tim Hauf an appreciation of the outdoors and nature. His wanderlust started when he was two years old, often wandering across cow pastures accompanied only by his dog. He would go home with lots of stories about what he had found.

In later years, he started taking photos of where he had been and of what he had experienced, so he could “show and tell” others of his experiences. After graduating from North Dakota State University with a degree in business, Tim moved to California and found work as a financial analyst. With the outdoors beckoning, Tim moved to Ventura County in the late 1970s. After leaving his career as a financial analyst, Tim found himself working as a ranch foreman, giving him enough time to take up photography. He has been honing his skills ever since. Tim Hauf has been a professional photographer since the early 1990s.

His photographs have appeared in numerous publications throughout the world, including Islands, Sunset, Asia Pacific Travel, Mini-World (Japan), Explore (Canada), Terre Sauvage (France), Dove (Italy), South Africa Times, USA Today, National Geographic, Smithsonian, and others. His list of published books include unique destinations such as the Himalaya of Nepal; South America’s remote Patagonia; the rugged wilderness of northern Manitoba, Canada; South Africa’s remarkable World Heritage Sites; Ventura County; and Channel Islands National Park.
