The process of creating art has always fascinated me and I am constantly compelled to be making something. I love to watch artists and have tried many mediums – photography, painting, stained glass, weaving and papermaking to name a few. In the early 1990’s while viewing jewelry at a local art fair, I thought, “I could do that!” Since then I have taken many classes and continue to try new techniques and different styles.
My current hobbies include golf, card making, sewing and knitting but my favorite is designing and creating jewelry. My work has been featured in a Ventura Harbor art gallery and juried art shows including Thousand Oaks ArtWalk and Calabasas Fine Arts and Crafts Festival as well as local arts and crafts fairs. I donate pieces for auctions in fundraising events and test new designs on our daughters and my sister and cousins. Teaching and sharing my art form with others is also important to me. My designs include a wide variety of techniques – fusing, reticulation, casting, forging, wire work and beading – and incorporate precious and semi-precious gemstones.
I consider my pieces a whimsical fancy – may their uniqueness celebrate your individuality!
