My ceramic work is a blend of functional and sculptural forms.  I enjoy throwing on the wheel, but then often distort and alter forms to give them a sense of movement and change.  My firing methods also reflect this transition as they range from functional high fired techniques to several alternative methods which renders work that is more decorative. 

LAMPWORKED BEADS-

It is always exciting to explore and work in new mediums, so for the last 10 years I have worked with glass as well.  A first, I used the kiln, and did fused glass jewelry, and larger forms.  But more recently I have begun  working with hot glass on the torch to create beads and small sculptural glass forms.
